Severance Boys Wrestling Brings the Action in Triangular Against Northridge and Roosevelt


🔥 What. A. Night. 🔥 Severance Boys Wrestling hit the mats in a big way during their triangular meet against Northridge and Roosevelt. From stunning victories to hard-fought battles, the Silver Knights showed grit, heart, and some serious firepower. Let’s break down the action-packed evening, starting with the dominant performance against Northridge before diving into the showdown with Roosevelt.



Round 1: Severance vs. Northridge – Total Domination!


The Silver Knights rolled into the Northridge dual like a wrecking ball, securing a commanding 68-9 victory. This was nothing short of a masterclass in wrestling, with Severance picking up pin after pin and leaving no doubt about their dominance.


Key Matches (Period by Period):

  • Dennis Campos (132 lbs): Wasting no time, Dennis secured a fall in just 25 seconds! The crowd barely had a chance to settle in before the referee’s hand hit the mat. BOOM.

  • Brody Ridenour (157 lbs): Brody was all business, ending his match in just 41 seconds with a lightning-fast takedown and pin combo. Blink and you’d miss it!

  • Joshua Abram (165 lbs): Joshua followed Brody’s lead with an even quicker pin, finishing in 38 seconds! Dominant doesn’t even begin to describe his performance.

Other highlights included:

  • Andre Salinas (138 lbs): A technical fall victory (22-4) in 3:17, showcasing precision and endurance.

  • Ben Petersen (215 lbs): Took control and secured a fall at 2:55, continuing his streak of excellence.

  • Simon Carter (106 lbs): Made quick work of his opponent, pinning him in just 38 seconds.

Northridge never stood a chance as Severance rolled to an emphatic win, proving they’re a force to be reckoned with.

Round 2: Severance vs. Roosevelt – A Hard-Fought Battle


The second dual of the night saw the Silver Knights face off against a tough Roosevelt team. While Severance fell short with a 55-23 team score, they had plenty of standout performances that kept the energy high and the crowd on their feet.


Key Matches (Period by Period):

  • Simon Carter (106 lbs): This young gun set the tone with a 23-second pin to kick things off. Simon’s explosiveness and precision continue to impress, and this match was no different.

  • Drake VomBaur (120 lbs): Drake brought his A-game once again, securing a fall at 3:17 after methodically wearing down his opponent. His tactical approach was textbook.

  • Ben Petersen (215 lbs): In classic Ben fashion, he came through with a clutch pin at 3:17, showing poise and power in a tough matchup.

Despite the loss, the Silver Knights showed tremendous fight, with Tatum Garcia (113 lbs) also shining in a technical fall (17-0) victory in 3:16.
