Severance High School Girls Wrestling is your 2025 4A-Region 4 Champions!!

The Severance Silver Knights Girls Wrestling Team took Yuma by storm, claiming the 4A Region 4 Championship in dominant fashion! 🏆🔥 With seven state qualifiers, these young women showed up ready for battle, proving once again why Severance Wrestling is a powerhouse.


Team Dominance at Regionals

From the opening whistle to the final pin, the Silver Knights were relentless, outscoring opponents and leaving no doubt about who owned the weekend. With standout performances across the board, Severance secured the team title, a historic milestone for the program. Every wrestler contributed, whether through crucial wins, hard-fought battles, or their unwavering team spirit.

Now, seven of these warriors are heading to Ball Arena for the CHSAA 4A Girls State Tournament next Thursday through Saturday, looking to make history and bring home even more hardware.






Regional Champions 🏆


🥇 Eila Schultz (130) – The epitome of dominance, Schultz ran through her bracket, securing two falls and a thrilling 8-4 decision in the finals to claim the regional crown. She’s heading into state with confidence, composure, and a hunger for more.

🥇 Faith Vondy (135) – Vondy put on a technical clinic, pinning her first two opponents before tech-falling her semifinal opponent 16-0. She then secured a decisive 8-4 victory in the finals, cementing herself as one of the top contenders for a state title.


STATE-BOUND SILVER KNIGHTS 🚀

💪 Kailey McGuire (120) - McGuire had a gritty run to the finals, pinning both of her opponents on the way. She ultimately finished as regional runner-up, but her performance proved she is a force to be reckoned with at state.

💪 Alisa Gonzales (170) - With three straight pins, Gonzales powered her way into the regional finals. Though she fell short in the championship match, she’s heading to Ball Arena with momentum and the ability to take down anyone in her way.

💪 Austyn Mitchell (140) - Mitchell fought through the consolation bracket, bouncing back from a tough semifinal loss to win back-to-back falls, securing a third-place finish and a spot at state.

💪 Nevaeh Odegaard (125) - A gritty tournament for Odegaard, who secured two huge pin victories to earn her fourth-place finish and a ticket to Ball Arena. She’s ready to make waves on the big stage.

💪 Alivia Gonzales (145) - Battling through adversity, Gonzales found a way to earn crucial victories, including a win by fall in the fourth-place match, punching her ticket to state.


Podium Finishes 🏅

Even beyond the eight qualifiers, the Silver Knights had a total team effort, with two more wrestlers reaching the podium and scoring crucial team points to help secure the regional championship.

👏 Addyson Duran (115) - Fought hard through the bracket and secured a 6th-place finish, gaining valuable experience against some of the best in the region.

👏 Allison Wilson (190) - Also placed 6th, proving her resilience throughout the tournament and adding to Severance’s historic performance.


A Championship Team From Top to Bottom

The Silver Knights' entire roster contributed to this historic title, showing that Severance Wrestling is built on heart, determination, and an unbreakable bond.

Now, with state just around the corner, the focus shifts to Ball Arena. These eight qualifiers aren’t just going to participate—they’re going to make a statement.
