Varsity Boys Split at Thompson Valley Triangular

Thursday, January 23rd, The Severance Silver Knights took on both Greeley Central and Thompson Valley in individual duals held at Thompson Valley.

Thursday evenings saw Severance at Thompson Valley High School to take on both Thompson Valley, and Greeley West High School. Headed into the final weeks of this season, many of the boys are working to fine tune their wrestling and prove out the things they have been working on that they will be carrying into Regionals and then the State Tournament at Ball Arena.

Here is how each of the duals played out.

Dual 1: Severance vs. Greeley Central (59-23)

126 lbs: Dennis Campos (Severance) vs. Nickoli Brown (Greeley Central) Campos set the tone early for Severance, using aggressive takedowns and nearfalls before securing a pin at 2:35.

132 lbs: Andre Salinas (Severance)Salinas earned a forfeit win, adding 6 points to Severance’s total.

138 lbs: Lane Swarts (Severance)Swarts also benefited from a forfeit, giving Severance another 6 points.

144 lbs: Steven Stack (Severance)Stack received a forfeit win, continuing Severance’s strong start.
